To God be all the honor and glory. The 2009 Family Day
of the BLD (Bukas Loob sa Dios) Covenant Community was
celebrated today, December 30, 2009 at the Roberto V. Alquizola
Memorial Sports Complex which started with a holy mass.
The program proper followed thereafter and was participated
by the different ME ( marriage encounter) class.
All were there form ME 1 to ME 13.
The fraternal lunch was in a very festive mood where everyone enjoyed the fun while eating. Different Christmas presentations by class and parlor games then happened followed by the exchanging of gifts. The celebration ended with a community singing where everyone sang to the tune of "Kasadya Ining Taknaa".
I can still recall the times when me and my hubby joined this religious group, the BLD Covenant Community where we find time to be with each other for 3 days and 3 nights in a place afar from home during our marriage encounter seminar. We belong to ME Class #7 or batch 7.
The Bukas Loob Sa Diyos Covenant Community, normally referred to as simply "BLD", is a communion of families and a community of persons, called together as one people through a moment of encounter and a process of renewal, to a relationship of faith, hope and love with God.
"Bukas Loob Sa Diyos" is a Filipino name; in English, our name is "Open In Spirit To God." Our original name reflects BLD's country of origin, The Philippines. Today, however, members of the Community live throughout the world. A large number of members are to be found in North America, and call Canada and the United States home.
The community is Roman Catholic in its essence, charismatic in its activities and faithful to the Magisterium of the Church. Each BLD District is under the ecclesial authority of the local Archdiocese. This ensures that all activities and teachings of BLD Districts are in accordance with official doctrines and dogmas of the Church.
Do you have a BLD Community in your place?

Dear Mary Ann,
God's Peace and blessing to you and you beautiful family.
I would just like to mention that in BLD or in our Catholic faith, horoscopes and zodiac signs are not compatible with our belief in Jesus Christ. They are oppose to each other. See article 2116 of the Cathechism of the Catholic Church.
Peace,
Reuben (BLD Newark)
