Why STaiRwaY?
Upon taking a glance on my blog, STAIRWAY... maybe you'll ask why STAIRWAY? What is in it? Well, I chose STAIRWAY simply because it speaks of taking a STEP either going up or going down in order to reach the next level or even reach a place where you want to go. It is my avenue to reach out to the world and share my hopes and aspirations in life as well as sharing the wonders of dwelling here in the Philippines.

Summer Vacation: The Glorious Time of the Year!

>> Saturday, May 31, 2014

Summer vacation, the glorious time of the year is about to end. Summertime, oh, summertime, when most of us put on our shorts and spaghetti shirts to feel the air and sunlight on our skin. The wonderful time and pleasure of being at rest. The days when you shut down your mental gadgets in school and let life simply wander.  The moments when you stop planning, analyzing, thinking and worrying your school whereabouts. Summer is a period of grace.

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shinning, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and people are staying outside to explore the wonders of the world God has given us. What most people do during summer vacation? Some go to the beach for a day of swimming and tanning. Others go jogging in a park or on the side walk and relax under a shade of a tree when tired. It's great exercise and fun. Visiting exotic places they've never been to before and doing outdoor fun with family and friends are the most favorite past time during summer season.

No matter how I see it, summer has a magic that I can't help get motivated to grow a small garden of plants both flowering and ornamental species. I used to listen favorite songs that will calm me down and make me happy while gardening. But Oh! it's almost over. Classes will soon begin. My long vacation will soon end and would be a memory to be stored in my recycle bin.

Letting go!

One of the simplest way to stay happy is letting go of the things that makes you sad. Letting go is hard and painful but sometimes holding on is harder and more painful. I cannot bear anymore the pain my decayed tooth is giving me. I had to see the dentist. The dentist then told me that there is no other way to save the tooth because it is already 100% decayed. He has to pull it off no matter how much I tried to save it.
Huhuhu! it hurts me much to let go my tooth. How can I live without my tooth? Going to school facing my 18 teachers and 550 students without a tooth at the uppermost front part of my mouth. How can I smile to them without showing my incomplete set of teeth. Oh my God ! I can no longer pronounce letter S due to the air that freely gets in and out of my mouth making an aisle in the vacant space of my mouth.
But I cannot hold it anymore because the only way to relieve the pain is to let it go. I' m not going to stress over it anymore if it will be uprooted. As painful as it is to let go, is more painful to retain it in my mouth... so it's goodbye!
Let it go, Let it go. Can't hold it back anymore. I don't care what teachers and students say. It's time to see what I can do. I should not keep the tooth anymore because it was causing me too much pain. Therefore, I have to move on and let it go.

'The Voice Kids Philippines', the show I love to watch

>> Saturday, May 24, 2014

the voice kids philippines
Jimlord "Jimboy" Garcia, who sang Journey's "Faithfully" in the "The Voice Kids"  first Blind Auditions episode of the ABS-CBN program, reunited coaches Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Manalac, and Lea Salonga last Saturday night, May 24, 2014. Garcia's father is a farmer, while his mother is a housewife.

Salonga, who was first to turn her chair was impressed by Garcia's soaring voice. As Garcia approached the higher notes of the popular tune Manalac ang Geronimo pressed their buttons. Geronimo said that she can relate to the boy being mentored by his father, as this was the case when she was young.
Salonga, whose feisty personality was a highlight in last year's "The Voice of the Philippines," praised Garcia for the quality of his voice and consistently singing in tune. Garcia then chose Salonga to be his coach. Recruiting the first three-chair turner appeared to be a good omen for Salonga, whose team famously won the first season of "The Voice of the Philippines" with belter Mitoy Yonting.
By the end of the pilot episode of "The Voice Kids," Salonga was able to recruit three young artists -- Garcia, 11-year-old Koko Luy, and 9-year-old Darlene Vibares. Geronimo and Manalac, meanwhile, each scored one recruit. Thirteen-year-old Grazz Enriquez joined Team Bamboo, while 11-year-old twins JM and JC Urquico got into Team Sarah.
"The Voice Kids," which is hosted by Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga, airs Saturdays at 6:45 p.m. and on Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
