Man Cannot Live by Bread Alone

It has been said that man cannot survive in this world without the words of God. Do you believe in this? “Yes I do,” is always the answer.

I can still recall the saddest moments in my life when the world seemed so cruel to me. I asked the Lord why this misfortune happened to me and not  to others despite my being His good follower. God just answered, “Mary Ann, live, be happy and don’t worry for I have chosen thee.”

There were even times in my life when all the problems were cast down upon me and the darkest night seemed not to end and all my struggles were in vain. I called on to God and He answered me, “Mary Ann, You are not alone.”

I then learned that life is a challenge to live. To care, to understand and to forgive is all that matters to God. I want the Lord to lead me to a path where trials are few but soon I realized and chose to continue my journey in life with God. I don’t know where I am going to for it is God who leads me the way. He is the the life, the truth and the way.

Do you have reminders at home? Me, I have plenty and I would like to share you this one,

Take Time to Pray

I got up early one morning and rushed into the day;

I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me and heavier came each task,

“Why doesn’t God help me?” I wondered. He answered, “You didn’t ask.”

I wanted to see joy and beauty but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;

I wondered why God didn’t show me. He said, “ But you didn’t seek.”

I tried to come into Gods presence; I used all my keys at the lock.

God gently chided, “My child, you didn’t knock.”

I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day;

I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

What Will Happen If You Fail To Pray

     Prayer is said to be our best weapon in life. Without it, life would be meaningless. In good times and in bad times always remember to pray and thank the Lord for everything. This is what will happen to you if you fail to pray.

Time

I knelt to pray but not for long

I had too much to do

Must hurry off and get to work

For bills would soon be due.

And so I said a hurried prayer

Jumped up from off my knees

My Christian duty now was done

My soul could be at ease.

All through the day I had no time

To speak a word of cheer

NO TIME to speak of Christ to friends

They’d laugh at me I feared.

NO TIME, NO TIME, too much to do

That was my constant cry

NO TIME to give those in need,

NO TIME to give those in need.

 At last, it was time to die

And when before the Lord I came

I stood with downcast eyes

With His hands, He held a book

It was the BOOK OF LIFE.

He looked into the book and said

“Your name I cannot find’

I once was going to write it down

But never found the time.”

What we do in life will determine

What God will do to us in eternity.
