Why STaiRwaY?
Upon taking a glance on my blog, STAIRWAY... maybe you'll ask why STAIRWAY? What is in it? Well, I chose STAIRWAY simply because it speaks of taking a STEP either going up or going down in order to reach the next level or even reach a place where you want to go. It is my avenue to reach out to the world and share my hopes and aspirations in life as well as sharing the wonders of dwelling here in the Philippines.

The church awaits you today.....

St. Anne Parish Church in Barili, Cebu

Early dawn of December 16, 2009 huge number of people paved their way to St. Anne Parish Church right here in Barili, Cebu just to attend the first dawn mass, "Misa de Gallo". This catholic Christmas tradition in the Philippines is also popularly known as the "Simbang Gabi" which starts every 4:00 dawn of December 16 and culminates on Christmas eve to welcome the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ.
This is a nine day dawn mass celebrated by our very own St. Anne Parish Church. Colorful Christmas street lights seen along the way to the church caught the attention of many Barilinians especially the ostentatious display of various attractive Christmas lanterns which are all visible around the bend. To most Barilinians, their Christmas wouldn't be complete without attending the first dawn mass.       .
